December 31, 2016 Note from the Lieutenancy

Today is the Eve of the New Year, a time to reflect on the days, weeks, and months of 2016 which have somehow flow by.  I expect that as most of you do that, you will find that you have many reasons to be thankful for the blessings that God has bestowed upon you and your families during the year, but I know that others will recall having experienced some tough journeys and traveling down some sad roads, and I pray that 2017 will bring you brighter days.

Tomorrow is January 1st, the day we celebrate the Solemnity of Mary, Mother of God, the oldest Feast Day of Mary celebrated by the Catholic Church.  I hope you will be able to take a few minutes to read the attached.

My hope for you in the New Year is that you will love and be loved, and that the angels of God will watch over you bringing you joy and good health.
